Some of the most innovative and interesting products can be found on the reality series Shark Tank. Besides the great products, one thing I really love about Shark Tank is that every entrepreneur who appears on the show comes with a personal story. This story is used to build a unique brand that is truly their’s.

David Heath and Randy Goldberg: Bombas

Heath and Goldberg launched their athletic socks company after learning that socks were the number-one most requested clothing item at homeless shelters. Determined to help, they decided to follow a model similar to TOMS, where for each pair of socks purchased, a pair is donated to someone in need. Heath and Goldberg make sure that the spirit of giving back is shared among their organization – on each employee’s first day, they are given 10 pairs of socks to pass out to those in need.

Lani Lazzari: Simply Sugars

After dealing with sensitive skin her entire life, Lazzari began making homemade skin scrubs when she was just 11 years old. She focused on making them with all-natural ingredients that would be safe for all skin types. After making the scrubs as a hobby for a few years, Lazzari eventually decided to turn it into a legitimate business. After her appearance on Shark Tank in 2012, sales for Lazarri’s company skyrocketed to $1 Million in six weeks.

Sabin Lomac and Jim Tselikis: Cousins Maine Lobster

After growing up in Maine Lomac moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in real estate. When Tselikis, Lomac’s cousin, came to visit him one year, Lomas expressed nostalgia for Maine. One thing he especially missed was the food, namely the lobster rolls. After taking notice of the burgeoning food truck industry in Los Angeles, Tselikis and Lomac came up with the idea to open a food truck that sold lobster rolls – with lobster meat sent straight from Maine. For them, it was the perfect way to bring west-coasters something they had probably never experienced. Today, Lomac and Tselikis have 20 trucks in 13 cities throughout the country.
